The City of Ottawa offers residents the option to pay and receive property tax and water bills online through epost and was the first in Canada to introduce the "e-ticketing" system for moving traffic offences, providing the public with quicker and safer interaction with Ottawa Police Services through shorter roadside stops. The City also gives residents without Internet access the ability to get City information online through 148 Sm@rt Site locations in schools, libraries, Client Service Centres, and community centres.
